Report: Update On Robert Roode's WWE Return

Latest on Robert Roode following neck fusion surgery

An update on Robert Roode has emerged.

The Glorious One has been out of action since the end of June, with his most recent match being a loss to Omos on the June 25, 2022 house show in Amarillo, Texas. Roode has since undergone neck fusion surgery on his C5 and C6 vertebrae in December 2022 and he is currently off TV while he recovers.

PWInsider Elite has since noted that WWE are expecting an update on Roode's recovery prognosis shortly after WrestleMania 39 but the company currently do not have a precise idea about when the former United States Champion will be able to return to the ring. Roode is not scheduled to be in Los Angeles for WrestleMania 39, with the show set to emanate from SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California on April 1 and April 2.

Roode has been under contract with WWE since 2016. He is a former NXT Champion, United States Champion, and three-time tag team champion with Chad Gable and Dolph Ziggler.
