Report: Update On Roman Reigns' WWE WrestleMania Backlash Plans

Will Roman Reigns be in action at WrestleMania Backlash?

Roman Reigns has been noticeably muted on WWE TV since WrestleMania 38.

The WWE Universal Champion hasn't been in a programme since he defeated Brock Lesnar outside of a quick beatdown of Shinsuke Nakamura on the SmackDown after The Showcase Of The Immortals.

This prompted some to speculate that Reigns might not be on the WrestleMania Backlash card but that won't be the case.

According to Dave Meltzer, Reigns will be in action at the May 8 pay-per-view and The Tribal Chief will be involved in the main event.

"The Roman Reigns thing we were talking a couple of days ago about, since they haven't shot any angle with him maybe they're doing a pay-per-view without him and that is not the case. He is in fact in the main event and I presume they will shoot the angle on Friday," Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio.

Who Reigns will face at WrestleMania Backlash remains unclear, although WWE could decide to revisit the Nakamura beatdown and book The King Of Strong Style in his first televised world title match since 2018.
