Report: Update On Triple H's Involvement With WWE NXT

As Vince McMahon becomes more and more involved with WWE creative, an update on the Executive Chairman and Triple H's involvement with NXT has emerged. 

WWE Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative Shawn Michaels is in charge of the day-to-day running of NXT but FightFans has noted that Triple H is still involved with the booking of NXT too as the brand remains "his baby." Vince McMahon, meanwhile, is just sticking to the main roster. 

"Hunter and Vince are basically collaborating on everything in today's WWE, they make the decisions for the main roster together, but NXT is run strictly by Hunter and HBK, Vince not involved in the slightest," a source told FightFans. 

Triple H was previously in charge of the day-to-day running of NXT until September 2021 when he suffered from serious heart issues. Vince McMahon continued to transform NXT back into a developmental brand through the 2.0 revamp in his son-in-law's absence. Triple H, however, would become involved with NXT once again after he was appointed Chief Content Officer in the Summer of 2022. 

Triple H's appointment came after Vince McMahon was forced to step away as WWE CEO and Chairman due to a sexual misconduct and hush money scandal. McMahon forced his way back into WWE in January 2023 and the 77-year-old has become more and more involved with WWE main roster creative since WWE's sale to Endeavor was announced in April 2023.
