Report: Update On Warner Bros. Discovery's Interest In WWE Programming

Rumour killer on Warner Bros. Discovery's reported interest in WWE

Despite Warner Bros. Discovery currently being affiliated with AEW, rumours have emerged of the company potentially being interested in WWE programming, which could cause a big spanner in the works when it comes to AEW’s progression as a rising promotion and potential rival to the WWE.

Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Podcast has provided an update on the potential of WBD switching up their allegiances from AEW to WWE;

“I will tell you what was said to me and I have a quote here from a key person at Warner: ‘With the investment WBD is making in AEW programming, I find it hard to believe that they’re going to grab WWE.”

With TV deals for both WWE and AEW needing to be negotiated later this year, there will likely be a lot of talk when it comes to switching networks and finding a new home for the likes of Raw, SmackDown, and Dynamite, and whilst WBD wouldn’t come out and explicitly say that they aren’t interested in WWE, Zarian considers it a low possibility of anything happening on that front.
