Report: Update On When Austin Theory Will Lose The WWE United States Title

It has long been known that WWE view Austin Theory as a future top star and the company could be set to kickstart his push to the main event picture later this year.

According to Better Wrestling Experience, Theory has "a big story coming ahead." The major plans would only begin after he drops the United States Championship, though, and BWE noted he could lose the title at SummerSlam and move on from there. 

Theory is currently in his second reign as United States Champion, having regained the gold at Survivor Series in November 2022. He has since defeated the likes of Seth Rollins, Bobby Lashley, Edge, and even John Cena at WrestleMania 39, primarily through shenanigans. 

The 25-year-old began a programme with Sheamus on last week's edition of SmackDown and the two men are set to face off for the United States Championship on tonight's show from the blue brand. The match was taped on May 19 to ensure talent booked for Night of Champions had enough time to travel to Saudi Arabia.
