Report: Update On WWE Championship Match At WrestleMania 37

Is Miz destined for a short title reign?

A new WWE Champion was crowned during last night's Elimination Chamber pay-per-view after The Miz cashed in the Money In The Bank contract and defeated a battered and bruised Drew McIntyre.

The A-Lister might not be WWE Champion for very long, though. According to WrestleVotes, The Miz isn't scheduled to be involved in the WWE Title match at WrestleMania 37, meaning he would have to lose the belt sometime in the next 47 days.

How Miz will drop the championship remains to be seen, but the man who helped him secure the gold, Bobby Lashley, will reportedly be in the WWE Title match at The Showcase Of The Immortals.

WrestleVotes tweeted: "It's that time of year- LOTS of misinformation b/w sources, which happens around WM. However, from source: WWE Title match - The Miz is not scheduled to be involved. As of now, Bobby Lashley IS."

In regards to the rest of the WrestleMania 37 card, WrestleVotes reported ahead of Elimination Chamber that Edge vs. Roman Reigns, Sasha Banks vs. Bianca Belair, Randy Orton vs. Bray Wyatt and a tag team match featuring Bad Bunny were all "on the books" for April 10 and April 11. Edge vs. Reigns has since been made official for 'Mania.
