The WWE Hall of Fame ceremony has appeared to be somewhat of an afterthought in recent years, with the induction ceremony taking place in the ring following the go-home edition of SmackDown since 2022.

WWE were unhappy with how the 2024 Hall of Fame ceremony played out due to many of the fans leaving after Paul Heyman's induction, which opened the post-SmackDown celebration. It was noted earlier this year that WWE were considering changes to the ceremony because of this and those changes could see the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony be moved away from SmackDown, according to WrestleVotes.

"Regarding the 2025 WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony, we have heard some internal chatter that the event may not happen after SmackDown as it's been the past three years...With SmackDown now being three hours in length, some within the company feel like the showcase of the Hall of Fame would be lost on the audience after such a long show beforehand. Again, we stress that this is speculation of internal chatter, however, WWE is considering alternate ideas regarding this year's presentation," WrestleVotes said on WrestleVotes Radio.

SmackDown moved to three hours at the beginning of 2025, although the Friday night show will return to a two-hour runtime later this year.

Names announced so far for the 2025 class of the WWE Hall of Fame include Triple H and Michelle McCool.
