Report: Update On WWE Plans For Edge's Return

Edge is believed to be making his WWE return soon

We’ve not seen Edge in WWE for a little shy of two months, and after a series of cryptic vignettes have hinted that an older version of the WWE Hall of Famer is set to return imminently, WWE fans have wondered which version of Edge we’ll get.

Edge was last seen on TV in early June after being kicked out of The Judgment Day, and now a report from Wrestling Observer Live’s Bryan Alvarez has suggested that Edge’s most famous alter-ego could be on the horizon:

“What are the odds Edge rejoins Judgement Day? I think they’ve already got Rated R Superstar merch, so I’m pretty sure that he is returning as The Rated R Superstar. Now what that means… babyface or heel I don’t know, but I don’t think he’s coming back to Judgement Day,” said Alvarez.

Edge transformed into The rated R Superstar during his first WWE Championship run in early 2006, where his antics were very sexually and violently charged, including the infamous ‘live sex celebration’ with Lita, and his blood spattered hardcore match with Mick Foley at WrestleMania 22.
