With the news that Cody Rhodes has seemingly re-signed with WWE, speculation now turns to what WWE will have in store for ‘The American Nightmare’.

Whilst rumours have pointed to a Cody Rhodes vs. Seth Rollins match at WWE WrestleMania 38, a new report from Fightful Select might have shed some more light on Cody’s schedule.

In the report, Fightful confirmed with WWE sources that the company is planning for Rhodes to be involved with the post-WrestleMania edition of WWE Raw, scheduled for April 4, after his debut at WrestleMania itself.

The report also states that WWE sources had indicated that internal discussions have earmarked private travel for Rhodes in order to keep his debut and reveal a surprise, with WWE wanting to avoid the publicity of Rhodes being spotted at an airport before WrestleMania.

Rhodes last wrestled for WWE in May 2016, where Rhodes under the Stardust gimmick lost to Zack Ryder on an episode of WWE Main Event. After leaving WWE, Rhodes reinvented himself on the Indies, with high profile runs in NJPW and ROH as part of Bullet Club, before being one of the founding EVPs of AEW in 2019.
