Report: USA Network Thrilled With WWE Raw

The USA Network are reportedly thrilled with Raw's recent ratings

The USA Network are reportedly "thrilled" with WWE Raw's recent ratings, according to a new report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Dave Meltzer wrote that the network are very happy with the numbers WWE's flagship show has posted of late, having been frustrated in recent years (particularly during the annual drop that typically coincides with the resumption of the NFL's Monday Night Football programme).

He added that the USA Network are possibly 'reading too much' into the strong rating the October 10 'season premiere' episode drew, noting that nostalgia-heavy shows typically draw big numbers and that interest in the product is generally high right now due to the return of Bray Wyatt.

This past Monday's show drew an average of 1,824,000 viewers, up 14 percent from the week before. In the key 18-49 demographic, Raw scored a 0.55 rating (an average of 722,000 viewers).

That number is a 38 percent boost from the week before. Raw's ratings are also up considerably from this time last year.

This past Monday's show was an eventful one, featuring the surprise return of Brock Lesnar (who attacked Bobby Lashley), Seth Rollins beating Bobby Lashley to win the United States Title and the return of Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson.
