Report: Vince McMahon A "Fan" Of LA Knight
LA Knight has fans in the back, including Vince McMahon
Much has been said on the WWE status of LA Knight, with some of the loudest reactions on a weekly basis being met with what many perceive to be bad booking. Missing out on shows like WrestleMania, Backlash, and losing out on most occasions has led to criticism from several fans online who helped to make Knight a major merch mover. There has been a report which gives some insight into WWE’s current perception of Knight though, particularly when it comes to Vince McMahon.
A report from PWTorch has revealed that McMahon, despite previously booking Knight as the Maximum Male Models manager Max Dupri, has “grown to be a fan of his, and Paul Levesque already was.” The report goes on to discuss how Knight’s bad backstage politicking may have gotten in the way of a push previously, though his booking could well see an upturn in fortunes very soon.
“Knight has a long-running reputation for rubbing people the wrong way behind the scenes and just being “bad at a backstage politics.” Those who know him well tend to like him and some of them have spoken up on his behalf when Knight gives a bad first impression. Knight’s surging crowd reactions and social media popularity have landed him on the radar of Levesque and McMahon as being a candidate for a big push after Summerslam… he’s on course to get a push at a high level in spite of that because he has a special X-factor and connection with the crowd that hasn’t gone unnoticed by anyone.”
