Report: Vince McMahon Rewrote This Week's Episode Of WWE Raw At The Last Minute

The Boss tears up the script...

In recent months, Vince McMahon has distanced himself from both Friday Night SmackDown and Monday Night Raw. Reports indicated that he hadn't been to an episode of SmackDown since Thanksgiving, while he was at Raw approximately half of the time.

With the relaunch of the XFL on February 8, many expected McMahon's influence over WWE to continue to dwindle, but this does not appear to be the case. In the past couple of weeks alone, McMahon has scrapped his plans for WrestleMania 36, changing the Universal Championship match from "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt vs. Roman Reigns to Goldberg vs. Roman Reigns.

The Boss's influence was again felt on this week's episode of Monday Night Raw. While WWE's flagship show has been praised for elevating new stars like Aleister Black, Drew McIntyre, and Buddy Murphy, this Monday's episode was considered the most uneven for some time. This is seemingly because of McMahon as Bryan Alvarez reported on Wrestling Observer Live that Vince rewrote the entire episode just hours before it went on the air.

Alvarez said: "I don't know everything that happened on Monday, but I do know that this guy (Vince McMahon) showed up and he changed everything again. Apparently, it was worse than usual, and if you watch the show, the show was worse than usual."
