Report: Vince McMahon 'Suggesting Changes' To WWE Creative

Could Vince McMahon’s return affect WWE Creative?

When the news broke about Vince McMahon’s WWE return ahead of a potential sale of the company, it was quickly pointed out that McMahon was back in the company in a boardroom capacity only, and would not interfere with the day-to-day running of the company.

However, fresh reports from the Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer suggest that McMahon could be in a position to ‘suggest changes’ about WWE Creative. Following on from reports from Ringside News and Fightful Select from Friday’s SmackDown taping, Meltzer revealed that Triple H threw out a scenario hypothesising that Vince could make suggestions about creative, although Triple H was quick to state that he talks to several people about creative matters, but eventually Triple H is the person making the final calls.

Reports from within WWE have repeatedly stated that McMahon will not be back to run creative or any other aspect of WWE’s operations outside of a sale, although one talent did allegedly tell Fightful that “[I]t’s Vince, so I don't believe a word he says. I hope current management and everything doesn't change, but only time will tell.”

This comes hot on the heels of reports that McMahon had returned to WWE’s Head Office in Stamford in some capacity after being reinstated as the Executive Chairman of the company, and there are rumours that McMahon could show up at the upcoming WWE Royal Rumble.
