Former NXT UK Star Jinny Announces Retirement

"The Fashionista" calls it a career

Former NXT UK performer Jinny announced her retirement from professional wrestling in posts to her social media on Saturday.

Jinny wrote, "After a long time away due to an injury, I have made the decision to hang up my fashionable boots. Thank you for all the memories. I'll remember that chapter for the rest of my life. Every journey has an end, but in life, every ending is just a new beginning. I'm excited about what's next."

Jinny's last match took place on November 18, 2021, a win over Amale on an NXT UK broadcast.

A pro since 2015, Jinny twice held the Progress Wrestling Women's championship, and was also holder of the Revolution Pro British Women's title.

Jinny signed with WWE in 2018, a year after wrestling several matches over WrestleMania 33 weekend. In 2018, Jinny competed in both the Mae Young Classic and the NXT UK Women's title tournament. In the latter tourney, Jinny lost to Toni Storm in the semifinals.

Since her last match, Jinny had done work for BT Sport, a media partner of WWE's. She is married to WWE Intercontinental champion Gunther.
