Report: Vince McMahon Thinks Aleister Black's Character Will "Limit Him" In WWE

The Chairman of WWE is a "big fan" of the man behind the gimmick, though...

Since he was drafted to Monday Night Raw back in October 2019, Aleister Black has been one of the most protected Superstars on the red brand. During Paul Heyman's stint as the Executive Director of Raw, The Harbinger Of Fury amassed a 29-1 record and he was someone Brock Lesnar's advocate wanted to push as a future star on Monday nights.

With Paul Heyman's departure, some worried that Black's push could be over and after he lost to Seth Rollins on last week's episode of Raw, reports stated Vince McMahon held concerns about the former NXT Champion and had given up on him in recent weeks.

Alex McCarthy at talkSPORT reached out to his sources in WWE and was told this isn't the case and that McMahon is actually a "huge fan" of Tom Budgen. The boss does have some concerns about the Aleister Black character, however, as he feels it will "limit him" in the long run.

The source told McCarthy: "Vince is a huge fan of the performer – and of Tommy. Size. Agility. Skill. But he is worried the character is a gimmick and will limit him."
