Wheeler Yuta didn't leave Edmonton, Alberta, Canada unscathed following the Wednesday, July 5 edition of AEW Dynamite.

Yuta went one-on-one with Kenny Omega in the main event of Dynamite and the Blackpool Combat Club member failed to pick up the win despite interference from Don Callis and Konosuke Takeshita, with Kenny Omega scoring the victory after a One-Winged Angel. Yuta's Blackpool Combat Club faction mate Claudio Castagnoli hit the ring after the main event before The Elite made the save for Omega. The babyfaces then looked set to stand tall until Dark Order arrived and pulled a steel chair away from Hangman Page as he was about to deck Castagnoli.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Wheeler Yuta sustained a hamstring injury on Dynamite. The belief is Yuta avoided suffering a full tear, though, and he will be able to return in time for Blood & Guts III on the July 19 edition of Dynamite.

The match is set to host the latest chapter in the feud between Blackpool Combat Club & Konosuke Takeshita and The Elite, with the two sides currently trying to recruit a fifth member. Don Callis tried to convince Chris Jericho to be part of the match on Dynamite this week, while you can find out who The Elite are looking to bring in here.
