Report: Why AEW Dynamite Airs On Friday Nights In The UK Revealed

AEW Dynamite and Rampage air days later in the UK

All Elite Wrestling programming has aired on ITV platforms in the United Kingdom since the promotion was founded in 2019. Unlike in the United States, though, Dynamite and Rampage do not air live in the UK. Dynamite airs on ITV 4 on Friday nights, while Rampage airs a few days later on Tuesday nights, also on ITV 4.

That appeared to be changing this week as Dynamite was briefly scheduled to air at 10 pm on Thursday on ITV 4 before it was moved back to 9 pm on Friday, February 17.

Dynamite airing earlier than Friday night doesn't look set to change as Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reported that the show airs on Fridays because ITV feels they need two days to get the show ready to air in the UK.

"ITV feels they need a two-day turnaround," Meltzer tweeted.

Dynamite and Rampage are edited by ITV to display altered graphics when AEW run down the card for future shows. The lead-in for ad breaks is also changed to a pre-taped ITV line from Excalibur or Tony Schiavone.
