After a short stint in NXT...

On the go-home edition of Monday Night Raw before WrestleMania 36, Austin Theory debuted on the main roster as he was revealed as Andrade's replacement for the Raw Tag Team Championship match at The Showcase Of The Immortals. The former EVOLVE Champion was ultimately unsuccessful at 'Mania alongside Angel Garza, and many expected Theory to be sent back to NXT after the show.
He has remained on Raw, however, and his status on WWE's flagship show was confirmed on last night's episode as he joined Andrade and Garza in the centre of the ring to do the Los Ingobernables salute.
Dave Meltzer revealed on Wrestling Observer Radio that Theory has been kept on the main roster because he has impressed Raw Executive Director Paul Heyman since his initial call up. WWE creative also played a part in the decision as the company reportedly likes the idea of having a three-person stable for Zelina Vega to manage.
Meltzer said: "This isn't Vince, this is definitely Heyman, and he was brought up because they needed somebody for WrestleMania and they were impressed enough…They liked the idea of the three-person stable with Zelina Vega with Andrade, Garza and Austin Theory."
