Report: Why Kairi Sane Hasn't Been On WWE TV Revealed

The Pirate Princess will be back for WrestleMania 36...

WrestleMania 36 is only five days away and will be broadcast from multiple locations on April 4 and April 5. The card was seemingly finalised on last night's episode of Monday Night Raw as WWE announced The Kabuki Warriors will defend their Women's Tag Team Championships for the first time in 112 days against former champions Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross.

The match has received very little build, however, as Kairi Sane hasn't been on WWE programming since the March 9 episode of Raw when she teamed with Asuka against Natalya and Liv Morgan.

Dave Meltzer revealed on Wrestling Observer Radio that Sane returned to Japan after her match on Raw and she has been there ever since which made her unavailable for the tapings leading up to The Show Of Shows. She did return for the WrestleMania tapings, however, and the match is scheduled to go ahead as planned.

Meltzer added: "Kairi Sane has been in Japan. She got married. And then I don't know if she had to be quarantined or something but she was unavailable for most of these tapings. So, she was okay for WrestleMania but she wasn't available until like the very end so that's why this whole promotion the last couple of weeks has been all Asuka, no Kairi Sane."
