Report: Why Randy Orton Has Been Absent From WWE TV Revealed

The Viper hasn't been on Raw in over a month

Randy Orton was in the midst of an entertaining run alongside Riddle as RK-Bro, but The Viper hasn't appeared on WWE TV since the June 21 episode of Monday Night Raw when he was defeated by John Morrison.

Orton was scheduled to be in the Last Chance Triple Threat Match also involving AJ Styles and Drew McIntyre on June 28, but Randy wasn't on the show and Riddle earned a spot in the match to fight on his tag team partner's behalf instead.

According to Fightful Select, Orton has been off TV for over a month because he has been on WWE's disabled/inactive list during the period.

There reportedly aren't any issues between WWE and Orton and both parties are hoping the 14-time world champion will be able to return on the August 2 edition of Raw.

In regards to creative plans for Orton, he was set to continue his storyline with Riddle through SummerSlam but The Viper's absence meant an audible had to be called.
