Goldberg Advertised For August 2 & August 16 WWE Raw Tapings

Part-time schedule for Goldberg

Bobby Lashley seemingly won't have to deal with Goldberg on the July 26 edition of Monday Night Raw.

The former WCW World Heavyweight Champion returned to WWE TV earlier this week on Raw and told Bobby Lashley he was next. Lashley would promptly reject Goldberg's challenge tweeting "no thanks, old man", but the current plan is for the two men to square off at SummerSlam on August 21 for the WWE Championship.

Despite his return and rejected challenge, Goldberg isn't advertised to be at the July 26 taping at T-Mobile Arena in Kansas City, Missouri, according to WWE's website. The two-time Universal Champion will instead pick up his rivalry with Lashley on the August 2 episode of Raw from the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois.

Goldberg will then miss the August 9 episode of the red brand before returning for the go-home edition of Raw ahead of SummerSlam on August 16 at AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas.

When Goldberg does step in the ring at SummerSlam, it will be his first match since he was defeated by then WWE Champion Drew McIntyre at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view in January. It will also be Goldberg's second and final contractually obligated match of 2021. The WWE Hall Of Famer is signed with the company through "2022-23" on a two-matches-per-year deal.
