The second edition of the WWE Saturday Night's Main Event reboot is scheduled for January 25, 2025, Dave Meltzer has reported on Wrestling Observer Radio.

This ultimately means the show will take place only one week before the Royal Rumble, with Meltzer noting the two events are being held so close together because NBC wanted Saturday Night's Main Event on January 25.

"January 25th. That date's been out there for a while but WWE did confirm it to me. It's the Saturday before the Royal Rumble...That's the date NBC wanted. The deal is that when they get the date from NBC, that is the date they run. NBC is the one who make the choice, they're the higher power in this one," Meltzer said.

Saturday Night's Main Event has been revived as part of WWE's TV deal with USA Network for Friday Night SmackDown. SNME will be held as quarterly specials on NBC, with the first edition in almost 20 years set to take place on December 14 at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum.

WWE Royal Rumble will emanate from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on February 1, 2025. This will be the first time the pay-per-view/premium live event hasn't taken place in January.
