It certainly didn't look like it on Sunday night, but Will Ospreay will reportedly be modifying his in-ring style following his return from injury.

Ospreay made his return from double neck fusion surgery at the AEW Revolution pay-per-view as he laid out Jon Moxley following his Continental Title defence against Konosuke Takeshita. Ospreay immediately hit Jon Moxley with a Hidden Blade before he followed up with a Skytwister Press to the outside to Daniel Garcia and PAC in a sign that Ospreay would continue to wrestle his high-flying style.

That may not be the case completely, though, as Dave Meltzer has reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that Will Ospreay is "going to modify his style." How Ospreay plans to change his in-ring style will ultimately be revealed when he next wrestles for All Elite Wrestling.

Ospreay had been out of action since August 2025's Forbidden Door pay-per-view with two herniated discs in his neck. Ospreay underwent neck surgery on September 17, 2025 and he was cleared to return to the ring on February 25, 2026.

Ospreay addressed the possibility of changing his in-ring style post-surgery ahead of AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, telling SHAK Wrestling:

"I don't know. I think I have that stubborn prideness about myself that I would love to just come back in the ring and continue what I was doing, but I feel like that's what's happened and that's the reason why I've gone down this route. So I really don't know and I don't really want to put too much stress on it until afterwards because I feel like what I'd like to do is recover first and then get in the ring, and then I'll call up a few of my boys. Like I'll call up Robbo (Paul Robinson) and I'll just like, 'Hey can we just go in the ring and let's just practice some stuff?'

"And it might genuinely be like, 'Alright I might have to kiss this part of my high-flying offence goodbye now.' It's something that I'm not ready to let go, I'll be honest with you. I'm not ready to let go of that side of me because I think that should be done on my terms and I don't know if that's on the card. I've just got to hope that after this, I can still pick up where I left off, but if not, all the greats have done it. Liger's done it, AJ's done it. I call myself the Billy GOAT for a reason. I think I can adapt."

Will Ospreay has been a part of All Elite Wrestling on a full-time basis since 2024. He is a two-time AEW International Champion.
