As changes to NXT continue, WWE have reportedly released several key figures who worked on the developmental brand and at the WWE Performance Center.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, WWE Director of Talent Development and Head of Global Recruiting William Regal has been let go by the company. The former Intercontinental Champion also previously appeared on NXT as the brand's on-screen general manager for several years.

Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp also noted that Road Dogg has been released from his role as a producer, along with Performance Center Coach Ace Steel and writer Ryan Katz.

"WWE have confirmed producer Road Dogg, coach Ace Steel and writer Ryan Katz are all gone from NXT," Sean Ross Sapp tweeted.

PWInsider noted that Dave Kapoor, who previously appeared on-screen as The Great Khali's manager, has also been released, as has producer Scott Armstrong.

In a statement, WWE noted the releases were part of the "continued evolution of NXT 2.0."

"With the continued evolution of NXT 2.0, we’ve decided to part ways with some of the staff based in our Performance Center. We thank them for their many contributions throughout the years and wish them the best," the company wrote.
