Report: William Regal's New WWE Title Revealed

William Regal has a new job title in WWE

Following his official return to WWE in the new year, William Regal's new job title within the organisation has been revealed.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Regal has been appointed Vice President of Global Talent Development. This is similar to his previous backstage role in the company where he was employed as Director of Talent Development and Head of Global Recruiting.

Regal returned to WWE last week and he was backstage at the January 6 edition of Friday Night SmackDown. The Gentleman Villain previously worked for WWE for 22 years until his release in January 2022 amidst a shake-up of the company's developmental system.

Regal headed to All Elite Wrestling following his release, linking up with Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley to form the Blackpool Combat Club. The group later added Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta but Regal left AEW at the end of 2022 after Tony Khan agreed not to renew his contract. Regal's WWE return came only months after Triple H was installed as Chief Content Officer.

A condition of Regal's AEW departure was that he cannot appear on WWE TV in 2023.
