Report: WWE 205 Live's Oney Lorcan Requests Release

There's another one...

WWE performer Oney Lorcan has requested his release from the company, according to a report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider.

The report claims that Lorcan asked for his release at the end of October.

Lorcan joins a list of individuals that have requested their release from WWE in recent times, which includes Luke Harper, Mike Kanellis, and Sin Cara. However, like the latter trio, Lorcan's request has not been granted, at least as of press time.

Lorcan's most recent match took place on the October 25 edition of 205 Live, losing to Cruiserweight champion Lio Rush.

The former Biff Busick signed with WWE in September 2015, wrestling his first match with the company the following month, at an NXT house show. He competed in his first televised match as part of NXT in January 2016, using his real name of Christopher Girard, in a loss to Apollo Crews.

After adopting the Lorcan name later that spring, he received increasing time on the weekly NXT program, and later formed a team with Danny Burch. The two earned acclaim for a Tag Team title match they had with Kyle O'Reilly and Roderick Strong at the Chicago TakeOver in June 2018.

Lorcan began wrestling on 205 Live this past March as part of the Cruiserweight title #1 contender's tournament.
