Report: WWE 2K23 Update Planned For January

Latest on WWE 2K23

The next edition of the WWE 2K series has yet to be officially announced but more information on the upcoming video game will reportedly be coming soon.

According to Mike Straw of Mike Straw Media, the first piece of WWE 2K23 news is planned for mid-January 2023.

Straw tweeted: "First WWE 2K23 news planned to come mid-January, per source at 2K. #WWE2K23."

There is no word on when WWE 2K23 will be released. WWE 2K22 was released in March ahead of WrestleMania 38, though, and if that was the case this year, it would only give WWE and 2K two months to promote the new title ahead of release.

WWE 2K22 was seen as a return to form for the series after the disastrous WWE 2K20. Such a big overhaul is not expected this time around but rumours have hinted that 2K will look to add new features, including mid-card singles titles to MyGM and a new pinning system for matches. The development team also remain eager to add WarGames to the series but if that will happen in 2023 is unknown.
