Report: WWE At Least Considered Trying To Bring In Billy Gunn For DX Reunion

WWE did think about bringing in Billy Gunn

D-Generation X reunited on Monday's episode of Raw for the faction's 25th anniversary but a popular member of the stable was absent from the reunion, with only Triple H, Shawn Michaels, X-Pac, and Road Dogg in the ring.

That absent member was Billy Gunn, who is currently signed with All Elite Wrestling. Despite this obstacle, though, WWE at least "threw around the idea" of trying to bring in Billy Gunn for the reunion, according to Fightful Select. If WWE did actually reach out to AEW is currently unknown, though.

A Gunn appearance on Raw was considered unlikely ahead of the show, with relations between AEW and WWE having become frosty once again. This comes after WWE reached out to several AEW talents in the summer to see if they would be interested in returning to the company. This has ultimately caused chaos within Tony Khan's promotion and the likes of Malakai Black, Buddy Matthews, and Andrade El Idolo reportedly want out.

While Gunn did not appear on Raw, the crowd did shout his name during Road Dogg's introduction. Corey Graves also referenced "Scissor Me Daddy Ass!", mentioning that Gunn was "doing something with office equipment these days."
