While the show was originally scheduled to emanate from New Orleans, WrestleMania 42 will instead be taking place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. This will be the first time WrestleMania has taken place at the same venue for consecutive years since the 1980s.

WrestleMania 42 has not been made official as of yet but an official announcement is on the verge of being made, according to WrestleVotes on WrestleVotes Radio. WWE are currently deciding how to make the announcement, though, as the company is aware of the backlash around WrestleMania returning to Las Vegas.

"We are told the official announcement is on the verge, with WWE deciding on how they complete the rollout, especially within the social media space as they are aware of the backlash incoming," WrestleVotes said.

"WWE is aware of the backlash that has already surfaced on social media so they are taking that into account when they make the official announcement. With all that said, according to a source, TKO is hopeful they'll be able to replicate the entire weekend, which includes having the exact same venues locked down, which in part is causing the hold-up in making the announcement. WWE is hoping to host its events outside of WrestleMania at Allegiant Stadium within the Las Vegas Convention Center once again, Fontainebleau hotel, and T-Mobile Arena."

Reports have noted that WWE planned to hold WrestleMania 42 on April 18 and April 19, 2026 but there were issues as the Las Vegas Convention Center - which hosted WWE World - already had a booking for that weekend. An unannounced concert was also close to the planned WrestleMania dates and would leave WWE with little time to set up for their biggest show of the year.

It emerged this week, though, that many of the hurdles to WrestleMania in Las Vegas have been cleared and the city made concessions to finalise the deal.
