Report: WWE Bringing Back Million Dollar Title

The famed vanity belt is apparently returning

The Million Dollar championship is reportedly making a comeback to WWE, according to a report from Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Pro Wrestling Podcast.

Zarian stated, “Million Dollar Belt is back. I can confirm the Million Dollar Belt is back, baby. I was told to wait until Monday. Sorry to the individual that told me this, but Million Dollar Belt is coming back. I don’t know for how long but they’re gonna have it on TV. People are very excited within WWE about the Million Dollar Belt."

While it's not clear what capacity the title would be returning in, it makes the most sense that the title would somehow be involved in the ongoing one-upping of NXT's Cameron Grimes by the very man who originally brought the title into prominence, Ted Dibiase.

The Million Dollar title was introduced in 1989 by Dibiase, a vanity belt comprised of gold and diamonds that were said to be worth a million dollars. Through the years, the belt was used in storylines with Jake Roberts, Virgil, Steve Austin, and Dibiase's son Ted Jr.
