Report: WWE Considering Holding NXT Stand & Deliver Event In The UK

WWE reportedly interested in running two shows for the UK market

After WWE announced their major UK return with Clash at the Castle, ticket demand for the show reached unprecedented levels, with hundreds of thousands of fans registering interest in seeing WWE’s first UK stadium show in 30 years.

Now, ahead of the show it is being reported that WWE could capitalise on fan reaction by running an NXT Stand & Deliver event the weekend of the event, with Twitter account WrestleVotes reporting the news online, saying:

“WWE has discussed adding another Stand & Deliver event for one of the 3 big stadium shows happening this summer. I’ve heard the preference is UK for Clash at the Castle, but  Nashville/SummerSlam seems more likely. All TBD still.”

WWE hosted the last NXT Stand & Deliver event the weekend of WrestleMania 38, with Dolph Ziggler retaining the NXT Championship in the main event in Dallas’ American Airlines Center, defeating Bron Breakker in the main event.

Former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre recently announced that he would like to defeat Roman Reigns at Clash at the Castle, whilst other rumours suggest ‘Irn Dru’ could face boxing icon Tyson Fury.
