Report: WWE Considering Splitting Up The Mysterios

Could Rey Mysterio and Dominik be about to go their separate ways?

WWE are once again considering splitting up the father-son team of Rey and Dominik Mysterio.

According to the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there has been talk of them not being put together moving forward.

Rey recently underwent another round of stem cell therapy treatment for injuries, while Dominik was written out of storylines after being beaten down by Veer Mahan following their match on the April 11 episode of Raw.

Rey last wrestled at WrestleMania 38 (Night One), where he teamed with his son in a defeat to The Miz and Logan Paul.

WWE have previously teased a split between the Mysterios on several occasions. Earlier this year, Rey told Dominik that he needed to go on his own, but the angle was quickly dropped and forgotten about.

The Observer report noted that, without his connection to Rey, there is little that Dominik can do when it comes to the main roster.

The father-son duo have been on TV together since 2020 and they previously held the SmackDown Tag Team Championships for 63 days in 2021.
