Report: WWE Considering Turning IYO SKY Babyface

Could WWE be about to turn IYO SKY babyface? 

Justin Barrasso (writing for Sports Illustrated) reports that WWE have considered changing the Damage CTRL member's alignment and having her feud with the group's leader Bayley. There has been increased dissension within the Damage CTRL ranks within recent weeks. 

It added that SKY's work has impressed WWE Chief Content Officer Paul 'Triple H' Levesque for years and there are some within the company that believe she is due a solo run as women's champion. The reaction she received during her unsuccessful challenge of Raw Women's Champion Bianca Belair at Backlash only added fuel to that fire. 

Additionally, the report noted that Asuka - who is approaching 20 years in the business - is expected to use her veteran presence to highlight a younger star.

IYO SKY recently qualified for the women's Money in the Bank Ladder Match. She will clash with Latino World Order member Zelina Vega (who also qualified for the women's Money in the Bank Ladder Match) on this Friday's episode of SmackDown.
