Chris Jericho & Sting Come Face-To-Face On AEW Dynamite

Is a match between Jericho and Sting on the horizon?

A first-time face-to-face confrontation took place on the June 14 episode of AEW Dynamite.

Chris Jericho and Sting finally shared the ring for the first time in their long and illustrious careers as part of a segment that saw the return of Sammy Guevara.

Guevara gave an interview discussing what was next for his life and career when he was interrupted by Darby Allin, who praised him and noted that it sounded like the AEW fans were on his side.

Jericho then came out and claimed he could make Sammy a world champion, with Guevara retorting that if he was around then maybe the Demo God wouldn't have recently lost twice to Adam Cole.

Jericho proposed that he and Guevara team up to beat up Allin, which brought out Sting for the staredown.

Earlier in the week, Jericho claimed on Twitter that he had 'no interest' in wrestling The Icon, something which now seems like it was done to throw fans off the scent. Sting's AEW contract is set to expire this year and the 64-year-old has suggested he will call time on his in-ring career when it does.
