Report: WWE Creates New World Title Belt

A new world title belt from WWE is on the way

A new world title belt looks set to debut on WWE TV.

WrestleVotes has told GiveMeSport that WWE have created a new world title belt and the strap could debut at any time.

"There's a new belt. I don't know for sure if it's getting a new name. I don't know if one of the titles is going away, but there's a new belt that WWE has had made and the decision-makers have approved. Like, if they wanted to introduce it on TV tomorrow, they could. Those boxes are checked," WrestleVotes said.

The report comes amid speculation that Cody Rhodes will defeat Roman Reigns to win the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania 39, with reports indicating the top title will be split by SummerSlam. If the split will see the top belt revert back to the WWE and Universal titles is unknown, though.

According to reports, Triple H is not a fan of the Universal Championship and he even considered scrapping the title and reviving the big gold belt that was utilised in WCW and WWE until 2014, but the title would not fit the current aesthetic within WWE.
