Report: WWE Crown Jewel Scheduled For 10/21 In Riyadh

First WWE event in Saudi Arabia since February 2020

WWE's next foray to Saudi Arabia will come in the form of the third ever Crown Jewel event in October, according to a report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider.

Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men podcast originally reported that WWE would be returning to the country for an event on Thursday, October 21. Johnson has confirmed the date, as well as Riyadh for a specific location, and the use of the Crown Jewel name.

It will be WWE's first show in Saudi Arabia since February of 2020. The planned card will be the sixth of a planned 20 events, as part of a ten-year deal between WWE and the Saudi General Sports Authority.

SmackDown the day after Crown Jewel is scheduled to take place in Wichita, KS, which Johnson's report claims is an 18 hour flight from Riyadh.

The 2018 Crown Jewel featured a main event of The Undertaker and Kane vs. Triple H and Shawn Michaels. The 2019 card gained infamy for a lengthy flight delay (of disputed causes) that prevented the roster from making it back to the States in time for Friday's SmackDown taping.
