Report: WWE Evolution 2 Will "More Than Likely" Take Place In 2020

Fans might not have long to wait...

Earlier this month, a report from PWUnlimited noted WWE had discussed reviving the all women's pay-per-view Evolution and broadcasting the event as a WWE Network special on August 30. They also revealed Tessa Blanchard will likely make her debut in the company at the special if she signs with the wrestling behemoth before the end of August.

The revival of Evolution appears to be closer than ever as Alex McCarthy at Sportskeeda reported WWE is considering running the show and many inside the company believe it is a "no brainer" to bring back the event. McCarthy also revealed people within WWE think the network special will "more than likely" take place later this year because of the company's reduced schedule as a result of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The first Evolution event was broadcast from the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, New York in October 2018. The show was widely praised by fans and Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair in a Last Woman Standing match and Ronda Rousey vs. Nikki Bella were marked out for commendation.
