Prior to WWE booking a six-man tag team match for WrestleMania Backlash that will see RK-Bro and Drew McIntyre take on The Bloodline, Riddle and Randy Orton were originally advertised as facing The Usos in a Tag Team Title Unification match at the May 8 pay-per-view.

Despite WWE advertising the major match for several weeks, the company never actually planned to have a unification match at WrestleMania Backlash and the six-man tag was always the internally scheduled bout, according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

If WWE will eventually hold the RK-Bro vs. The Usos unification match remains to be seen but the belief within WWE is that it is a bad idea since the Raw and SmackDown rosters aren't being merged. There are also currently no plans for the match to take place. Meltzer noted, however, that Vince McMahon could change his mind.

The Tag Team Title Unification Match isn't the only thing that was falsely advertised for WrestleMania Backlash and it was previously noted that Brock Lesnar was originally advertised for the show despite never being booked by WWE to appear.
