Report: WWE Had Interest In Signing Moose

The former self-professed TNA champion chose to stay in Impact

There was apparent interest in bringing Moose to WWE, according to a report from Fightful Select.

The 37-year-old former "self-proclaimed" TNA World champion, and two time Impact Grand champion, was due to enter free agency in 2021, but, as the report states, "IMPACT made a huge play to get him signed before WWE could officially negotiate with him, so the offer never ended up being made."

The report notes that the hope was that, upon signing, Moose could head straight to the main roster. It's also noted that NXT had interest in acquiring Moose.

Moose reportedly signed his new deal with Impact back in May, though he denied those reports shortly thereafter. Based on this story, it appears Moose has indeed re-signed with Impact.

A veteran NFL offensive lineman, Moose began training as a wrestler in 2012. He signed with Ring of Honor in 2014, and spent the next two years with the promotion. After leaving ROH in July of 2016, Moose signed with Impact, though reports at the time had him possibly moving to WWE.
