Report: WWE Has Improved Conditions For NXT Superstars Working At Raw And SmackDown Tapings

Days were long for the first few weeks...

Back on the May 25 episode of Monday Night Raw, WWE used NXT Superstars in the crowd for the first time. The Superstars have been ever-present on WWE TV since then and the company has even started to use friends and family in the crowd.

The first few tapings were reportedly rough for the Performance Center recruits as they ended up working over 12-hours each day and only had access to chairs at limited intervals.

Conditions have improved, however, as Fightful Select reported a number of Superstars they spoke to said air conditioning had been introduced backstage and chairs are now regularly available in between segments. WWE has also brought in food trucks and provided coolers for energy drinks so talent can stay hydrated during the tapings.

The wrestling behemoth's next set of tapings are currently planned for Friday as this week's edition of SmackDown will be live-to-tape. The episode was originally scheduled to be taped on June 16 but the tapings were postponed after a Superstar tested positive for coronavirus.
