WWE are reportedly holding talks over making more two-night PLEs after the success of SummerSlam 2025.

The ‘biggest party of the Summer’ ran over two nights on August 2 and 3 - the first time in SummerSlam history - with the event joining WrestleMania as the only two-night shows held by WWE. However, it seems they may not be the only two-night events on WWE’s calendar moving forward, with Andrew Baydala on X/Twitter noting how discussions have intensified in WWE and parent company TKO over having more expanded events.

Whilst nothing has been confirmed, it seems the company are exploring the idea for 2026, with Survivor Series 2026 apparently ‘at the top of the list’ alongside Royal Rumble 2027. There’s also rumblings that WWE could expand Money in the Bank into a two-night event as well.

Whilst the move to a two-night format for WrestleMania in 2020 was out of necessity due to the COVID19 pandemic, it has proven lucrative for WWE. Baydala noted how with SummerSlam 2025 ‘an earlier start/finish time, impressive revenue, and attendance numbers’ resonated well with fans that TKO are keen to capitalise on SummerSlam’s success.
