Report: WWE Hoping Sasha Banks Will Return On September 10 SmackDown

Banks could be back soon

WWE are hoping Sasha Banks will return to the company for Super SmackDown on September 10 from Madison Square Garden.

Banks has been absent from WWE since she missed two house shows on August 14 and August 15. WWE then continued to advertise The Boss for SummerSlam even though they reportedly knew she wouldn't be in action on the show, and Banks was ultimately replaced by the returning Becky Lynch in her SmackDown Women's Title match against Bianca Belair.

In an update, Mike Johnson of PWInsider noted Banks was not on the road with WWE this past weekend and she won't be returning this week unless there is a last-minute change.

If everything goes well, Banks will return the weekend of September 10 for the Super SmackDown show from Madison Square Garden. PWInsider noted it isn't 100 percent that Banks will return on that date, but that is the internal expectation.

If Banks will rekindle her feud with Bianca Belair upon her return remains to be seen, but the former SmackDown Women's Champion said at SummerSlam that she would like to face The Blueprint once she's back on TV.
