Report: WWE In Talks With 'New Significant Performers'

WWE looking to make some significant signings

Some major WWE signings could be on the horizon.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE are "in talks with new significant performers". Who exactly the performers are is unknown, however.

Meltzer also stated there is no hiring freeze in place in WWE and it is considered business as usual within the organisation. WWE recently agreed a sale with Endeavor that will see WWE merge with UFC before the end of 2023 under a new parent company. Vince McMahon will be the Executive Chairman of the new unnamed parent organisation.

Recent reports revealed that several WWE talents had claimed there was an "unofficial hiring freeze" in place within the company and it had been discussed behind the scenes. Speculation had suggested everything from Vince McMahon's return to the WWE sale as reasons for the alleged freeze.

WWE have missed out on multiple top free agents in recent weeks, with Brian Cage opting to re-sign with AEW/ROH, while Jay White decided to sign a multi-year deal with All Elite Wrestling. FTR also signed new four-year contracts with AEW instead of returning to WWE.
