Report: AEW Makes Alternate Plans For Jeff Hardy

AEW working on plans for Jeff Hardy

Jeff Hardy made his triumphant return to All Elite Wrestling on the April 12 edition of AEW Dynamite, with the ‘Charismatic Enigma’ making his first appearance in an AEW ring in nearly a year to save brother Matt and associates from a beatdown off The Firm.

Recent speculation had pointed towards a Hardy return being on the cards, and despite making his official TV return, Fightful Select are reporting that potential non-wrestling plans are being made for Hardy as he recovers from a recent surgery.

Indeed, recent sightings of Jeff showed an impaired eye, with Matt Hardy later revealing that Jeff had undergone a procedure on his eye and was ‘probably a few weeks out from being fully physical’, with Fightful's report also suggesting Hardy is a few weeks out from an in-ring return.

Prior to Jeff’s return on April 12, Matt Hardy announced on TV that he was angling for a match against The Firm to win his and Private Party’s freedom from the heel group, and with HOOK also joining the fray then it seems that all roads are leading to a multi-man tag match at some point in the near future. Whether AEW are waiting to have Jeff compete in such a potential match or not is yet to have been revealed.
