Report: WWE Interested In Signing Alex Zayne

Ahead of his final indie match...

Alex Zayne's run on the independent wrestling scene is coming to an end. Game Changer Wrestling recently announced The Sauce's bout at So Much Fun on November 8 will be his final indie match.

The announcement suggests Zayne has signed with a major promotion, but there has been no official confirmation from the likes of WWE, AEW or NJPW as of writing.

Zayne has been attracting interest from WWE in recent weeks, according to Fightful Select. The indie wrestling star has also been impressing officials in New Japan Pro-Wrestling with his matches on NJPW Strong.

Zayne isn't the only wrestler WWE has been interested in bringing in recently. An earlier report from Fightful Select noted the company reached out to "numerous" wrestlers who have competed on AEW Dark and NJPW Strong.

WWE has already had some success in this area. Ben Carter reportedly signed with NXT UK a few weeks ago after some impressive performances on Dark and IMPACT Wrestling Xplosion. NJPW Strong regular Blake Christian also recently attended a WWE tryout
