Report: WWE Signs Ben Carter

A free agent no more...

Ben Carter has impressed many in the wrestling world in recent months with his matches against Lee Johnson, Scorpio Sky and Ricky Starks in All Elite Wrestling. The Prodigy Of Pro Wrestling also recently wrestled Chris Sabin on an episode of IMPACT Wrestling Xplosion which was praised by those who tuned in.

The next place Carter wrestles will reportedly be WWE as Dave Meltzer noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the Black and Brave Wrestling Academy graduate had signed with the company.

News of Carter possibly signing with WWE first emerged last week when Miro mentioned on a Twitch stream that the man from Jersey had "gone to the dark side."

A past report from Fightful Select noted both AEW and IMPACT Wrestling were interested in signing Carter, but NXT UK made a "major play" to try and bring him in and they seemingly succeeded. The Prodigy Of Pro Wrestling worked his recent matches in AEW for free because it would have been illegal for the promotion to pay him, but joining NXT UK circumvents those issues.
