Report: WWE Interested In Signing NJPW's Hikuleo

WWE reportedly want Hikuleo

In one of the least surprising stories of 2023, WWE want to add another very tall man to the roster.

According to Fightful Select, WWE higher-ups have made it known within the company that they are interested in Hikuleo. This has been the case for months. The 6'8" 31-year-old is currently a part of New Japan Pro-Wrestling and is aligned with brothers Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa as part of the Guerrillas of Destiny. Hikuleo had been a part of Bullet Club but he left the faction in 2022 to link up with his family.

The 31-year-old has been on the receiving end of a push in New Japan, recently unsuccessfully challenging Karl Anderson for the NEVER Openweight Championship. Hikuleo's future with NJPW is currently unclear, though, and he will face Jay White in a Loser Leaves Japan Match at an upcoming show. If the Loser Leaves Japan Match is related to WWE's interest is unknown, however.

After initially training at the Team 3D Academy, Hikuleo developed in NJPW's dojo system. Along with New Japan, the giant has competed in IMPACT Wrestling and All Elite Wrestling in recent years.
