Report: WWE Lay Off More Corporate Staff

More office staff depart WWE

WWE have reportedly made even more cuts to their office staff as the promotion continues to bring about change on all levels.

The promotion has been releasing Superstars, on-screen talent and officials with increasing regularity in the past few months but WWE's backroom team are also being hit by cuts. A large number of the company's digital, television production and international offices were heavily hit in a series of departures back in May.

According to Fightful Select, further cuts have now been made to WWE's corporate team with several individuals in consumer product departments losing their jobs. These areas reportedly include people in marketing and in shop areas.

The layoffs come as WWE prepare to disclose their Quarter 2 2021 Financial Earnings later on Thursday 29 July in a conference call with shareholders.

Fightful's report indicates that, of the people they've spoken to, many suggest they have been told by WWE that there is a good chance they could be brought back into the company.

The report also indicates that no further talent-related cuts are expected during these departures.
