With 2023’s WrestleMania 39 set for Hollywood/Inglewood, California, WWE are hoping that the stars of Tinseltown will be lining up to appear at the Showcase of the Immortals.

Dave Meltzer, writing in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, states that WWE are trying to get a lot of celebrity involvement for the show, due to the theme of the show itself, never mind the mainstream coverage and exposure that comes with it. Meltzer also states that Nick Khan in particular has plenty of contacts from his days as an entertainment and sports agent, and could be key to landing some big names.

WWE are also believed to be in conversation with former WWE Champion John Cena about appearing at Mania - possibly for a long-teased match against Austin Theory - although this is all dependent on Cena’s schedule.

The other long-rumoured star to return for WrestleMania is The Rock, and if WWE manage to get Rock and Cena back in for the ‘Grandaddy of ‘em All’ then that alone will guarantee column inches, never mind any other surprise appearances.

WWE has always sought celeb involvement for WrestleMania, with the likes of Muhammad Ali, Cyndi Lauper, Mr. T, and Liberace all involved at WrestleMania 1, with celebs appearing at the majority of Manias since then.
