Report: WWE To Possibly Split Tag Team
WWE are considering moving a wrestler to SmackDown
Nov 11, 2022
WWE could be set to split up one of their longest-running tag teams.
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, WWE are hoping Robert Roode will be back in action soon after dealing with injury issues in recent months. The company are considering moving Roode to Friday Night SmackDown when he does return to TV.
If Roode is moved to the blue brand, it could lead to his 'Dirty Dawgs' tag team with Dolph Ziggler being scrapped as the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion is currently a member of the Monday Night Raw roster. Roode and Ziggler were last seen together on WWE TV on the June 6 episode of Raw when they were chased by Omos.
Roode has been off TV since then and he underwent a procedure in Birmingham, Alabama in September.
The Dirty Dawgs have been together since 2019 and they have enjoyed success in WWE, having held both the Raw and SmackDown tag team titles. They have also been aligned during respective singles runs, with Roode being a key facet of Ziggler's reign as NXT Champion earlier this year.
